Casting news -

We're delighted to announce the return of Dame Adam Stafford to the Victoria Theatre pantomime this Christmas! Adam was last at the venue two years ago for the smash hit production of Aladdin and is delighted to be returning for the show he made his Victoria Theatre debut in back in 2012. Adam will be joined by the hilarious Josh Benson as his new son.

Relaxed and Signed Performances of Beauty and the Beast

Did you know we also offer an integrated signed performance and a relaxed performance of Beauty & The Beast -

Beauty & The Beast Integrated Signed Performance, Sunday 29 December, 5:30pm & Monday 30 December, 1pm

For this integrated performance, the British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters will be involved in the action on stage and take part in the performances!

Beauty & The Beast Relaxed Performance, Friday 3 January, 10:30am

This performance is designed to be welcoming to everyone, and especially to adults and children who may feel unable to access theatre performances for a variety of reasons, for example: parents/carers with noisy infants, people who need or want to move around and/or vocalise during the performance, people with dementia, autism or with other complex access and inclusion needs.

We will not be selling plastic flashing toys at this year's pantomime. We are consciously trying to reduce the theatre’s use of single use plastics and are therefore selling higher quality toys that help you and your children to continue the story telling theme of pantomime for years to come.

We will not be permitting any flashing toys into the theatre for any pantomime shows  and urge visitors not to purchase plastic toys from anywhere before the show, as they will not be permitted into the building. Customer feedback has informed us that plastic flashing toys can be disruptive, distracting and spoil the blackout scenes and we hope this change will improve your pantomime experience.

Our new range of hand puppets, finger puppets and pencils with playful toppers, along with pantomime programmes can be purchased in the theatre foyer and make excellent Christmas gifts!

If you would like your child to take part in the kids on stage section of the show please speak to the the box office. Please note there is a maximum of 4 children (2 boys & 2 girls) per show and they must be between 4 and 9 years old.

We also invite 1 grown up to appear as a stooge for each show, if you would like to nominate someone or yourself, again please either call the box office in advance or talk to a member of the team when you arrive.

For birthday shout outs please call the box office or pop in when you arrive at the show.

Stooges and children need to be sat in the stalls to take part in the show.
