CHANNEL 4′S ‘SO YOU THINK YOU’RE FUNNY?’ – WINNER 2003
Yorkshire man Tom Wrigglesworth is now firmly established as one of the UK’s most distinctive and sought after talents. Since his Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination in 2009, he’s continued to gain momentum as a phenomenal live performer, accomplished TV presenter and star of BBC Radio. He’s enjoyed several nationwide tours with live shows, has written and starred in 4 self-titled series for Radio 4, and been invited to perform at comedy festivals across the globe including the prestigious New Zealand, Sydney and Montreal Comedy Festivals.
On TV, Tom was a presenter on the recent BBC 4 series Electric Dreams – a show which enabled him to indulge his inner geek, exploring how the technological revolution of the 70`s, 80`s and 90`s has transformed Britain`s homes. Tom has also been a resident expert on three series of the science entertainment show You Have Been Warned, for the Discovery Channel.
As a stand-up, Tom has performed on Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live, Russell Howard`s Good News and The Comedy Gala for BBC Three as well as The World Stand`s Up, Edinburgh and Beyond and three series of The Comedy Store – all for Comedy Central.

“THE GODS OF COMEDY CHOSE TOM WRIGGLESWORTH FOR GREATNESS” Scotsman
“MAGICAL STORYTELLING…ENGAGING, INSPIRING AND EXQUISITELY PERFORMED…HYSTERICAL AND ACCOMPLISHED…COMEDY IS RARELY THIS ELEGANT”
Winner of the Amused Moose Judges Prize for his 2013 Edinburgh show, yet one of the last comics to appear on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson (making six more appearances with Jay Leno and five appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman), Al Lubel daringly straddles the worlds of quirky and original material lapped up by critics and TV-ready comedy watched by millions. He’s supported Jerry Seinfeld, who kindly mentioned “Al has one of the best jokes I have ever heard” and recently fellow comic Adam Bloom gave him high praise by saying Al had “the most original first ten minutes of comedy I’ve ever seen.”
Al Lubel became a lawyer to satisfy his mother. He then quit the law and became a stand-up comedian to satisfy his need to disappoint her. Al practiced law during the day and comedy at night. Getting stage time is hard for a new comic so Al would suddenly stand up in the middle of restaurants and do his act. And as he says, “I almost always got big laughs because I had everyone’s complete attention because everyone was scared that I might hurt them.” Al gradually began getting work at comedy clubs and within a year he won the $100,000 Comedy Grand Prize on television’s Star Search.
The Kagools are a multi award-winning physical comedy duo from the UK. Since their first full-length show in 2014, they’ve quickly gained fans far and wide with their unique brand of wordless (but far from silent) spontaneous, anarchic buffoonery.
An equally sought-after headline act both at home and overseas, their critically acclaimed shows have toured extensively, with recent international appearances including Australia, Norway and Vietnam.
Incredibly versatile, they delight everyone from raucous late night comedy club crowds to daytime family festivals.
