AN EXTRA DATE ON FRIDAY 9 SEPTEMBER 21 IS NOW ON SALE - CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION
Jon Richardson has been re-scheduled to Saturday 3 September 2022 (from 6 November 21 and 26 November 20).
Statement from Jon Richardson -
"I’m very sorry to say that the Knitwit tour is going to be delayed by another year and will now start in September 2022.
The delayed reopening of clubs means quite simply that even were I to return to gigging immediately I couldn’t guarantee being ready to perform to the standard I expect when shows were due to begin in September and I don’t want to let down anyone who has paid for a ticket, especially when times are so hard.
I am sorry for all those of you who were looking forward to coming along at the end of this year and I apologise also to the theatres and their staff who are depending on a return to normality to keep their doors open. I feel a great responsibility to you all and have had to make what I believe to be the best choice from two bad options.
I recognise that for many of you this will be three years after you first bought tickets and I can only imagine how circumstances might have changed for you all in the meantime. As before you will contacted by your local theatre and offered a rescheduled date or a refund for your tickets.
I apologise for a formal and sombre tone. I am in no doubt that not getting to hear my whining voice will not be the worst thing that happens to anyone this year, but still I am gutted not to be heading out on the road as promised. I hope to see you all next year with a show that will be worthy of your patience and loyalty."

For Your Health and Safety When at the Victoria Theatre
The Victoria Theatre is happy to be welcoming visitors back after being closed for over 18 months. We know that many of our customers are eager to return to live entertainment and would like life to go back to ‘normal’. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic means that there is a need to continue to protect ourselves, our audiences, and our community.
We therefore have a COVID entry policy that visitors must adhere to when visiting the Victoria Theatre. This includes wearing of face coverings and providing proof of vaccination or a negative lateral flow test.
Please visit the COVID page HERE to read the policy and ensure that you are ready to be compliant with these rules when you visit.
We really want to make sure that we can remain open, to bring back the joy of live entertainment and shared experiences to all, so that we can all feel as ‘normal’ as possible under the circumstances and we greatly appreciate your support, kindness, and cooperation during this time as we continue to protect ourselves and each other.
The door times for all events are an hour before the show is due to start and we will be checking everyone as they come in. Please arrive as early as possible, as there may be queues.
